A Message from Our Team

The McHenry Community High School Environmental Club and Gardening Club are hosting a tree planting event to offset our paper usage throughout the year. We are asking community members to plant a sapling (or two!) to help us reach our goal. We are trying to plant 345 trees in total on April 30th 2022 in celebration of Arbor Day. The sapling species we have available are Eastern Redbud, Red Oak, and Bald Cypress. Not only does planting a tree help us but it would be a beautiful addition to your residence, a future home to wildlife, and could even result in a reduction in your energy bill!
