A Message from Our Team

Minnetonka High School’s Earth Club and Minnetonka Natural Resources Club are excited to host a community wide tree planting event on April 22nd (Earth Day!). Our goal is to plant 2,450 saplings to offset our school’s annual carbon emissions from electricity consumption. You can support our mission by donating, volunteering to plant saplings on the day of the event, or purchasing saplings for $5 each. Tree species available for purchase are White Oak, Common Hackberry, and Honey Locust. We look forward to working together to make our community a little greener!

Sapling Information

Saplings will come as bareroot saplings. This means they are dormant until they are planted and typically bloom 4-6 weeks after being planted. Here is an example of what bareroot saplings look like.

For more information about the saplings and for resources about how to plant and care for them, visit the Tree-Plenish Resource page.
