A Message from Our Team

Cedar Springs High School's Eco Club is hosting a community-wide tree planting event to offset the school's annual energy consumption/carbon footprint. Our goal is to plant 1615 saplings around Cedar Springs, which is the calculated offset trees would perform toward the amount of carbon our school emitted from electricity and gas last year. Our event will be held on May 11, 2024. Residents can support our mission by ordering saplings for $5 or signing up to help plant the saplings in residents' yards on the day of the event. Residents can choose from Colorado Spruce, Sycamore, and Sugar Maple saplings. Club members chose these 3 tree species after researching their longevity and hardiness to serve our community with the most efficiency. We look forward to partnering with YOU to make Cedar Springs more sustainable!

Sapling Information

Saplings will come as bareroot saplings. This means they are dormant until they are planted and typically bloom 4-6 weeks after being planted. Here is an example of what bareroot saplings look like.
